Managing Aging Plants Conference & Expo Japan 2018
Date: 7th and 8th of June 2018
Location: Miraikan (The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation)
2-3-6 Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan
Sponsors: Fujikin, JGC, KITZ
Note: All presentations will be simultaneously translated from English to Japanese and Japanese to English
Many of the industrial plants currently in operations in Japan are about to reach, or have already surpassed, the life expectancies specified when they were originally designed and built. However, far from becoming obsolete and being discarded or dismantled, they continue to remain very productive for they are still vastly important to the profitability and success. Nevertheless, in order to ensure that this status quo is maintained well into the future, they must be able to guarantee that they can be kept economically sustainable and safe, as well as profitable.
The Managing Aging Plants Conference & Expo Japan 2018 is a place for obtaining useful knowledge for the extension of plant life, by knowing the importance of aging plant maintenance and management, risks that can occur in obsolete plants, diagnostic methods, IoT, smart maintenance, etc.
It will be held over two exciting days. Each program day of the conference will begin with a series of dynamic plenary lectures presented by high profile end-users, regulatory bodies, EPCs and professionals in maintenance in the oil & gas, chemical & petrochemical, and energy sectors. Presenters are both from Japan and overseas. Same as the previous conference in 2016, all presentations will be interpreted simultaneously from English to Japanese and Japanese to English.
This two-day event has been put together by the steering committee members so that participants can not only gain a better understanding of the challenges and problems which they face in ensuring safe and sustainable operations in their plants for the future, but also to create a platform where awareness and experience about the complexities of managing aging plants can be shared in both the conference and the expo.
